The best pictures are taken by the curious mind. How many of us believe that? Thus, holiday photography is more than a perspective, it is an emotion that was experienced during the trip. Here are some suggestions to head to in India to bring out the artist in you:

Punjab: The fields, culinary treats and beautiful gurdwaras are a big draw with photography enthusiasts. Places such as The Golden Temple in Amritsar, Rock Gardens, Butterfly Park and Morni Hills in Chandigarh, Lodhi Fort, Rural Heritage Museum and Tiger Zoo in Ludhiana attract thousands of tourists every year.

Tamil Nadu: In this state scenic beauty rises above sea level at Ooty and Kodaikanal, the green lakes and the lofty mountains surrounding it offer scenic frames.

North East: The seven sister states is a delight for a photographer. There are several places where a photographer can go click after click: Meghalaya (Shillong, Chherapunji, Khasi Hills, Garo Hills and Jantia Hills), Nagaland (Arakan Mountains), Arunachal Pradesh (Tawang), Assam (Majuli, the largest river island) and in West Bengal (Mandarmani, Digha and Shankarpur).
