Mountain biking trails
Region: Reykjavik; La Paz & Utah

Mountain biking requires skill in abundance. Reykjavik is an awesome place to start an epic mountain biking adventure. The capital city has short and challenging trails to wild expeditions. Iceland’s landscape is crisscrossed with trails, which vary from challenging, to full on adventure and are all within striking distance from Reykjavik. After an excruciating trail, reward yourself for all the hardwork by taking a dip in the Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa. The Blue Lagoon is one of the most visited tourist attractions. Its warm waters are rich in minerals like silica and sulfur and bathing here is known to help people suffering from skin diseases such as psoriasis.

The Andes is a popular mountain range that extends from north to south through seven South American countries: Venezuela, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, and Argentina.

Most tourists head to La Paz, Bolivia to experience mountain biking. This terrain is extremely challenging. If you’re into downhill you can take a lift up to the highest ski resort in the world at Chacaltaya, although be warned, it’s an icy wind blown area at most times. From the city to the countryside, La Paz is a harsh place, and the lack of oxygen just makes it even more challenging.
