Al Andalus Express Region: Spain The luxurious Al Andalus offers the tourist a relaxed way to explore southern Spain's beautiful Andalusian region. There are several itineraries, however the biggest USP of the train is that the distances covered on the basic seven-day round-trip from either Madrid or Seville are short, and the train generally travels from town to town during breakfast hours, leaving most of the day free for touring.
The train takes you through scenic, historic and cultural attractions—the Alhambra in Granada; the eighth-century Mezquita, a huge mosque turned cathedral, in Cordoba; Spain's oldest bullring in Ronda; sherry cellars in Jerez; and much more. The train operates regularly between March, April, May, June, September and October.

There are several itineraries to choose from:

Andalusian itinerary: The train leaves Seville towards Cadiz and Jerez. The third and fourth day include stops in Ronda and Granada The fifth day brings you to Linares, Úbeda and Baeza and Cordoba.

Iberian itinerary: The train leaves Madrid for Segovia, where passengers can see its most important monuments such as the aqueduct, the cathedral and the Alcázar fortress. In addition to these itineraries, tourists also choose the Extremaduran Route (which will take you through destinations like Seville, Mérida, Cáceres, Toledo and Aranjuez), and the Ribera del Duero-Rioja Wine Itinerary. Guess it's time to soak in the beautiful landscapes and enjoy a relaxed holiday.

Did you know? The train's four saloon cars are treasures of railway history dating from 1928 and 1930. Its carriages are spacious and full of old world charm.
