While forts have cultural heritage attached to them, Neemrana in Alwar locale of Rajasthan has a bit of adventure as well. A zip-lining experience is offered at this place. While the shortest ropeway is about 150 metres, the longest being about 450-500 metres.

For an adventure junkie, nothing can be more fascinating than climbing over a link and witnessing the airborne views of the regal, royal residences and forts in Rajasthan. It is additionally a perfect spot for trekking, too.

Sprawled over 800-plus sq km, Sariska National Park is an ideal family weekend getaway. As private vehicles are allowed inside, one can drive around at an easy pace. Pandu Pol Hanuman temple is a spot inside the reserve which is known to serve some amazing kadhikachori, which is a food item not to be missed.

The best time for visiting is of course winters. While the Kankwari fort is another attraction, however the route is marred by bad roads. Although the tiger may remain elusive, a visitor to the park sees various other birds and animals, including peacocks, spotted deer, antelopes, jungle wolves, langoors and monkeys, just to name a few.

Traveller’s tip: Do not go with high hopes of spotting a tiger.
