A relatively new sport in India - Formula One racing has slowly gained followers. Delhi became a roaring destination, when the Buddh International Circuit was launched in 2011.

Situated in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, the Formula One track was inaugurated amidst much fanfare. The 5.14 km long circuit has been designed by world-renowned German architect and racetrack designer, Hermann Tilke.

The circuit is part of the 2,500 acres Jaypee Greens Sports City, which also includes a 1,00,000 seating capacity international cricket stadium, 18-hole golf course, 25,000 seat field hockey stadium and a sports academy.
