Blind Tasting of food; for those who love to experiment with local cuisine
Blind Tasting of food is a new concept, that is picking up fast in India. Many travellers love to experiment with local cuisine and flavours. To enhance the experience of tasting new dishes, spices, aroma and texture, Blind Tasting offers a whole new gamut to conventional style of eating food. Fatimah Yasin speaks to Chef Sergi Arola and undertakes a new gastronomical journey, blindfolded.

Tell us about blind tasting. How did you decide on showcasing your food with this concept?

I believe this concept will help patrons take pleasure in and discover Spanish food like never before. With the activity of Blind Tasting I am really curious to know how far the food, in terms of taste, flavours has reached to all my guests. In India, I would really like to know what they feel about the food, the concept & I would definitely like to educate them more about Spanish Food. This way, as curiosity rises, I will be be able to explain about the eating culture and habits of Spanish people.

How popular is the Blind Tasting concept abroad?

It is hugely popular in the European countries. Indiafs a nascent market with this.

How do you think the Indian market will take to this idea of blind tasting?
