Birds of Kumaon: A trip to Pangot for the bird-lover in you
By Rohan Arora

Recently, I visited Pangot with my parents, a fascinating hill station in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. About an hour drive from eLake Districtf of Nainital we reached free of hustle, a quiet place with scenic beauty and landscape- a small Himalayan village, Pangot. The entire drive to Pangot was through terrific uninterrupted natural beauty of Cheena Peak Range-a forested area via Snow viewpoint and Kilburry. As we reached Pangot, the enchanting place began to unfold with an amazing variety of flora and fauna.

On the way were numerous perennial and seasonal streams gurgling down the mountains, which was a sight to behold.
