If regular motorcycle racing wasn’t exciting enough then motorcycle endurance racing popped up as the new game-changer. Not just abroad but also in India, biking lovers take to showing off riding prowess on tracks that can test their endurance levels. These biking groups have great bonding sessions alongside, which adds to the overall feel of the championships. In the 1970s, Europe witnessed many motorcycle endurance racing championships. And today, Indians too have joined in the biking fun. Dakar Rally, a popular annual racing event is an off-road endurance race, often called a ‘rally raid’ held in Argentina, Bolivia and Chile. The four major competitive groups in the Dakar are the motorcycles, quads, the cars class, (which range from buggies to small SUVs) and the trucks class. Held annually, it is considered a great way to kickstart a new year and the participants only like it as tough as it can get.
