The ‘Firework’ hitmaker’s India trip coincided with Prince Charles’s two-day visit to the country during which he visited Delhi and Mumbai.
On Thursday, that also happened to be the Prince of Wales’s 71st birthday, he attended a meeting of the British Asian Trust in Maximum City, that saw the singer among guests.
In a post on Instagram, Clarence House - the official handle of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall - shared that Perry had heard about the work of the Trust and wished to learn more about it.
Set up by Prince Charles in 2007, the Trust aims to tackle poverty and inequality in South Asia.
The 35-year-old singer also took to social media to wish the British royal on his birthday, sharing a picture from the event that she attended in a Prabal Gurung floral dress.
