Zomato Gurugram office parking lot video surprises internet. Super-luxury cars go viral

A viral Instagram video showcases the luxurious cars parked at Zomato and Blinkit’s Gurgaon headquarters, including Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal’s collection. Featured in the video is Goyal’s Aston Martin DB12, which he purchased last year for ₹4.5 crore in Satin Aston Martin Racing Green. Alongside this beauty, Porsche, Lamborghini and Ferrari models were also spotted in the parking lot. Other high-end vehicles, such as an Audi, Mercedes, and BMW, were seen in the video, adding to the display of opulence. Zomato shares have also soared, more than doubling this year.


The video has been viewed more than 1 million times since being shared on Instagram. Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal ranks as the second richest person in Gurgaon, boasting a net worth of ₹9,300 crore. Leading the list is Nirmal Kumar Minda of UNO Minda, with a staggering fortune of ₹30,800 crore. Also among Gurgaon's top five wealthiest individuals are Varun and Ghazal Alagh of Mamaearth, along with Jyoti Bhatia and Ravinder Kumar.


Investors have flocked to Zomato's shares as urban Indians increasingly prefer ordering groceries and household essentials online. This trend is reshaping the competitive landscape, especially with Zomato's recent move to strengthen its presence in India's online ticketing market.

Zomato has acquired Paytm’s movie ticketing platform, TicketNew, and live events platform, Insider, marking its entry into a market currently dominated by Reliance-backed BookMyShow. Paytm, which had been BookMyShow’s primary competitor since 2017, is transferring its market share to Zomato through this sale.

Paytm initially built its movie ticketing business from scratch and later acquired TicketNew and Insider. However, the company is now exiting the entertainment ticketing space to focus on its core payments and financial services operations, following a directive from India’s central bank to shut down its banking unit earlier this year.

For Zomato, this acquisition aligns with its strategy to diversify beyond food delivery. It has been expanding into non-core areas such as restaurant table bookings and event ticketing. These segments, which contributed 2% to Zomato’s revenue last year, have emerged as the company’s fastest-growing business units.
