Zia Mody's daughter Aarti to wed in NYC?

Aarti Mody, the second daughter of lawyer Zia Mody and industrialist Jaydev Mody, will tie the knot with her fiancé Pratap Pandit this month. The couple is believed to have known each other for over a decade and will get married in New York City.

The celebrations, which could include a mehendi, sangeet and a wedding, is likely to be a four-day affair from April 25 to 28. Aarti, who is the granddaughter of former attorney-general of India Soli Sorabjee, is working with Baker & McKenzie, a reputed law firm in New York.

Sources say Pandit also works with a multinational consulting firm in the same city. The couple reportedly got engaged last year. The family, however, wishes to keep the wedding private.

While Zia Mody did not respond to calls and text messages from ETPanache, her eldest daughter Anjali responded saying, "We aren't talking to the press about the wedding."
