Fashion & lifestyle brand Zara has made news for the wrong reasons.

The fashion brand became a laughing stock recently on Twitter when a user called it out for the ridiculous and unintentionally funny shirt slogans. Sharing the picture of a model wearing a white shirt with the caption, ‘Delhi ka Dhoop Delhi’, and ‘Chawal’, the user shared a rough translation of the captions and pointed out how ridiculous sounding they are. He wrote, “W** is this Zara? Translation: Delhi’s sun Delhi (he also added a sun emoji). Right side: Rice.” The price of the shirt is shown to be a staggering $49.90!

The post soon gained traction on the microblogging site. It gained about 122K views and 543 likes. One Twitter user wrote, “Should have said Nalayak (moron) on one side!” Another asked if there was any rajma (kidney beans) to eat with the chawal (rice) referring to the popular rajma chawal dish.

Many others poked fun at the rather understated design and white colour, describing it as “boring”. “If you're walking around wearing this shirt imma gonna be judging you,” wrote another user.
