YouTube back after global outage, says interruption fixed across all devices

The streaming platform had acknowledged the issue in a tweet.

YouTube apologised for the interruption in a tweet.
After an outage that affected over 286,000 users - as per outage monitoring website Downdetector.com - on Thursday, YouTube said the interruption has been fixed across all devices and services.

The Google-owned video streaming platform shared the update in a tweet, saying, "..And we’re back – we’re so sorry for the interruption. This is fixed across all devices & YouTube services, thanks for being patient with us."



Earlier, YouTube, in a tweet, had acknowledged the problem , saying, that its team was "aware of the issue and working on a fix."


The issue started about 05:23 a.m. IST (23:53 GMT), according to Downdetector.com, with users complaining about trouble in watching videos on the platform. The hashtag #YouTubeDown also started trending on Twitter.
