This year’s Luv Kush Ramleela will carry the theme ‘Respect for Women’, with Yami Gautam selected to represent women through the symbolic act of shooting an arrow at Ravana. The organisers say her participation is intended to highlight women’s strength and their role in standing against injustice.
The president of the Luv Kush Ramleela Committee, Arjun Kumar, shared that women represent compassion, love and strength and meanwhile also have the courage to challenge the societal evils. Inviting the Article 370 actress to perform Ravan Vadh would allow her to represent women from the country and convey that they too play equal and important role in the victory of good over evil, reported ANI.
