Xiaomi unveils its first-ever Mi Watch with six-axis sensor at Rs 13,000 onwards

Xiaomi has finally entered the smartwatch market. The Chinese tech giant, on Tuesday, unveiled its first-ever Mi Watch alongside an all-new Mi CC9 Pro and Mi TV 5 series at an event in Beijing. With a 1.78-inch AMOLED display, a 44mm dial and matte finish, the smartwatch looks similar to the Apple Watch. The original version, Xiaomi revealed, will have an aluminium alloy frame and curved Gorilla Glass 3. The premium version of the watch will come with a stainless steel strap, glass protection, and a stainless-steel frame. The new watch is priced at CNY 1,299 (Rs. 13,000 approx) and the premium version can be obtained at CNY 1,999 (Rs. 20,000 approx).
Specifications The Mi Watch is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC and supports dual-SIM connectivity. It also comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC support and houses a 570mAh battery. According to Xiaomi, the watch gives 36 hours of life on single charge.
In terms of software, the Mi Watch uses an MIUI operating system and includes Google Wear OS components. The new operating system, dubbed only for the Mi Watch will support app store, dark mode, downloadable apps, watch face market and custom watch faces. The new device will also include its own voice assistant to control smart home devices.
Fitness tracking features will also be present in the new device. From sleep and stress to body energy tracking features are included. Mi Watch also comes with 10 professional sports modes. Other features The Mi Watch also includes a heart rate sensor, six-axis sensor, GPS support, a compass and baromater. A water and swim-proof watch, the device comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage.

Mi A2 is Xiaomi’s successor to the Mi A1 — its Android One smartphone. The phone runs on an octa core Snapdragon 660 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and a 3,000mAh battery. You get a 5.99-inch 18:9 display (2160 x 1080 pixels) with an aluminum body but lacks a 3.5mm audio jack.
