Xiaomi launches Mi Notebook 14 at Rs 41,999 and Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition at Rs 54,999

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is all set to break the mould and foray into the laptop market with the launch of the much-awaited Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition. Known for its smartphones, Xiaomi released its first set of laptops in India today, having already released multiple laptops in China in the past.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition is a 1.35 kg ultra-light laptop which comes with a 14-inch, full-HD, immersive Horizon display. Xiaomi claims that Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition has a 91% screen-to-body ratio, which is highest in the industry. The bezels on top, left and right are only 3 mm thick. The display also comes with an anti-glare display coating on top of the Horizon display.



Coming to connectivity options, Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition comes with two USB 3.1 ports, one USB 2.0 port along with HDMI 1.4b support. The 3.5 mm jack doubles as a headphone and a mic in.

When it comes to performance, the laptop is meant for the power users. It comes in two variants - one is powered by Intel i5 10th generation processor while the other has Intel i7 10th generation processor, both of which, are great for every day usage. Mi Notebook also has a powerful 8GB DDR4 RAM and ultra-fast 512GB SSD storage. It comes with Nvidia GeForce MX350 graphics card which will meet all your casual gaming and video-editing needs.


The battery can last for 10 hours on single charge. In the box, there's a 65W charger which will get you from 0% to 50% battery in just 35 minutes.


As for the operating system, Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition runs on Windows 10 and comes with a one-month free trial of Office 365.


Xiaomi has also introduced a new tool called Mi Smart Share which has one of the fastest file transfers.

Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition starts at Rs 54,999 for i5 10th Generation variant. The i7 10th Generation variant will be launched at Rs 59,999.


Apart from Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition, Xiaomi has also launched Mi Notebook 14 series which is powered by Intel i5 10th generation processor. It comes with Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics card. The battery life and RAM of Mi Notebook 14 is the same as that of Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition.


Mi Notebook 14 has an inaugral price of Rs 41,999 till 16th July for the 256 GB variant while the 512 GB variant is available at Rs 44,999. The 512 GB variant with Nvidia GE Force MX250 graphics card is priced at Rs 47,999.
