Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite Android One leaked online ahead of July 24 launch

The Android One smartphones are expected to launch in Madrid, Spain on July 24.

Before the global launch, a listing on a Polish retail website suggests that Mi A2 Lite could also make debut alongside the Mi A2 at the event.

The Mi A2 is said to be the univesral version of the Mi 6X which was launched in China in April. Similarly, the Mi A2 Lite is set to be a re-branded version of the Redmi 6 Pro.


Expected specifications of Xiaomi Mi A2:

  • 5.99-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display
  • Powered by octa-core Snapdragon 660 SoC with Adreno 512 GPU
  • Includes 4/6GB of RAM with 32/64/128GB of internal storage
  • 12-megapixel primary lens (Sony IMX486 Sensor) with f/1.75 aperture + 20-megapixel secondary lens (Sony IMX376 sensor) with f/1.75 aperture
  • Selfie camera (Sony IMX376 sensor) is a 20-megapixel lens with soft LED flash
  • Backed by a 3010mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0.

    The Find X was launched just a few weeks ago and India is expected to be amongst the first lot of countries to get it. The Find X has a beautiful glass body with a motorized camera module. The front has a 6.4-inch curved Amoled display (without a notch) giving it a screento-body ratio of 93%. The company has announced the Mi 8 in China as their new flagship and it is expected that the phone will launch in India this month. The Mi 8 features a notched 6.2-inch amoled display in 19:9 aspect ratio and a 7000 series aluminium frame. It comes with an 3D Face unlock similar to the iPhone X (with infrared), rear fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support and runs the latest MiUI 10 based on Android 8.1. The upcoming smartphone in the range, Moto E5 Plus, features a 6-inch 18:9 aspect display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and weight of 197 grams. The Mi A2 with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage is said to cost $350 (Approximately Rs. 23,900); 64GB variant is said to cost approximately Rs. 25,800 and the 128GB storage version is expected to be priced approximately Rs. 29,400.

The Mi A2 Lite could be priced Rs. 19,300 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model.
