Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G to be launched in India on April 27. Check specs and details

The Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced that it will launch its much-awaited flagship, the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G in India on April 27. The latest device comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Xiaomi’s latest smartphone flaunts a bespoke design and is tipped to compete with OnePlus and Samsung flagship devices.

The official date was announced by the brand on its social media handles. Xiaomi shared a ‘save the date’ teaser on its Twitter. “The flagship of the future is coming home. Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G is launching on 27.04.22! When we said we would get you "the showstopper", we meant it!” read the post on Twitter.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G was launched along with Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X in China in December 2021. The smartphone made it to the international markets in March this year, and now it is gearing up to be launched in India. Based on the current international pricing, the Xiaomi 12 Pro starts at USD 1,000 (about Rs 76,312) for the 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage device. The smartphone will reportedly start at Rs Rs 65,000.


The Xiaomi 12 Pro runs on MIUI 13, a 6.73-inch WQHD+ (1,440x3,200 pixels) E5 AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Protection. The device has 1,500 nits of peak brightness, a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

It features low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) backplane technology Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The triple rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX707 primary sensor with OIS support, two 50MP portrait and macro sensors. The phone features a 32MP front camera. It packs a 4,600mAh battery that supports 120W fast wired charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
