Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro price leaked ahead of launch: What we know so far

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is all set to launch its flagship line-up this month. The Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro have been among the most sought after smartphones of 2022.

Even before the official launch, several tipsters have speculated the potential specifications and pricing of the flagship smartphones. Latest rumours, however, suggest that the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro are likely to be launched by the brand globally on March 15. The smartphones have been already launched in China.

The pricing of Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphones has caused a stir on the internet. Latest reports claim that the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro are likely to be more expensive than their predecessors.


According to a report on Pricebaba, the new devices will be available in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage for the vanilla model and 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage for the Pro variant. The website reported that the Xiaomi 12 will start at EUR 899 (around Rs 75,516) while the 12 Pro will be priced at EUR 1,099 (around Rs 91,877).

In China the smartphone is available in 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB configurations. Rumour mills are abuzz with claims that the Xiaomi 12 line-up will be costly for the Indian market after prices for the European markets surfaced.

The smartphones will reportedly feature a 50MP main camera, however, the Pro model may come with a larger sensor. The Xiaomi 12 Pro will feature a triple camera module with a 50MP primary camera, 13MP ultra-wide, and a 5MP tele macro camera.

According to the Xiaomi 12 series unveiled in China, the base model features a 6.28-inch flexible OLED screen with 2400X1080 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The 12 Pro model features a 6.73-inch second-generation power-efficient 2K display with energy-saving capabilities. Both devices support HDR10+ and Dolby Vision and they will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
