Write with pen and paper, shoot your doodles to the cloud

The makers of paper notebooks, Moleskine, have teamed up with the creators of Neo Smartpen to make it easier to digitise your hand-written notes, move them to your mobile device, and share.

The ‘Smart Writing Set’ includes three elements — the Paper Tablet, the Moleskine Pen+ and the Moleskine Notes App — that work together to give you a seamlessly integrated experience. The Moleskine Pen+ uses a built-in camera to track the movements of the pen’s tip on the notebook’s pages. The notebook has a defined pattern on the page that the Pen+ uses to ensure it is accurately tracking writing movements.

Accompanying the Pen+ is a Moleskine notebook which the company refers to as Paper Tablet. The Moleskine Notes app lets you convert handwritten notes into editable text, multiple options for sharing using email or services like Evernote, and even record audio via your smartphone. It will set you back $199 with no monthly subscription.
