Would Adi Godrej have chosen a different field if he didn't join the family business?
The chairman of the Godrej Group entered business in 1963. But if he didn't have the family legacy, here's what he would have done.

"That's a difficult question. To be quite frank, when I entered the business in 1963, there was really very little scope for entrepreneurship. As you know, there was a lot of entrepreneurship in the earlier days. There has been much entrepreneurship since the 90s or starting a little earlier perhaps. But in that period (when I joined the business), the great Indian entrepreneurial spirit was killed by socialism. And so, I am not even sure what career I would have gone into if I didn't have a family business to get into. But I was very happy to build the family business."
