While one may want to sit with a nice glass of cognac to sip on after a long day of work, the French brandy is also a nice mix for a good cocktail on a hot day. On World Cognac Day, here are some delicious Hennessy cocktail recipes to give you the much needed respite from the heat.

Ginger Hennessy-To
Glassware: Collins
Ingredients:
Garnish: Mint Bouquet
How to make: Muddle the mint in a shaker tin, then add the remaining ingredients plus ice. Shake to chill, double strain into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice. Top with soda, float with the backstrap, then garnish.
Ingredients:
- 60ml Hennessy Very Special
- 22ml lime juice
- 15ml honey water
- 15ml fresh ginger juice
- 5-7 mint leaves
Garnish: Mint Bouquet
How to make: Muddle the mint in a shaker tin, then add the remaining ingredients plus ice. Shake to chill, double strain into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice. Top with soda, float with the backstrap, then garnish.

Ingredients:
Garnish: Dehydrated Lime
How to make: Pour all the ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake will. Double Strain into a coupe glass and garnish edible flowers.
- 40 ml – Hennessy Very Special
- 30 ml – Ginger & Cinnamon Infused Sweet Vermouth
- 22 ml – Lime Juice
- 15 ml – Simple Syrup
- 22 ml – Pomegranate Juice
- 1 dash – Aromatic Bitters
Garnish: Dehydrated Lime
How to make: Pour all the ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake will. Double Strain into a coupe glass and garnish edible flowers.

How to make: Muddle in the fresh ginger in the bottom of a shaker. Add the Hennessy, lemon juice and honey syrup, add ice. Shake until well chilled. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Pour the Ardbeg over the back of a bar spoon so that it floats atop the drink

Ingredients:
Garnish: Slice of Ginger & Dehydrated Lime
How to make: Add spiced maple syrup, bitters and Hennessy in a mixing glass full of ice. Stir until well chilled and diluted. Strain into a old fashioned glass with an ice block. Garnish with a flamed cinnamon stick.

How to make: Mix all the ingredients in a metal shaker, flame the liquid before pouring from one half of the shaker to the other half 4-5 times. Put out the flame and let cook. Pour into an Old-Fashioned glass filled with ice cubes. Garnish with Cinnamon bark.
- 50 ml – Hennessy Very Special
- 0.5 tsp – Liquorice powder
- 30 ml – mineral water
- 1 pinch – Black Pepper
- 1 Tbsp – White Sugar
- 1 pinch – Ground Cinnamon
Garnish: Cinnamon Barki
