The Oxford dictionary admits a batch of informal expressions into its pages each year. Some entrants from the Class of 2014 explained.

Brick: A large and relatively heavy mobile phone, typically an early model with limited functionality Ancient artifacts that can be usually spotted in popular '90s sitcoms and movies

Cray: Crazy, in other words, Charlie Sheen's drug-fuelled meltdown
