For the True Beacon founder, it was also a moment of introspection and reflecting on his life choices. In a post on X , he wrote that it was somewhat ironical for someone who never attended college to be presiding at a university convocation!

"Just played 'Chief Guest' at Bangalore University convocation, and the irony isn't lost on me – who never attended college. My inner cynic wonders if I took a wrong turn on the way to a coffee shop and ended up here," he wrote in a candid post.

His own formal education notwithstanding, the Bengaluru-born Kamath reiterated that formal education still remains the backbone of society.

"But hey, if there's one thing I genuinely believe in, it's that formal education is the backbone of society. Let's all do our bit to make it even stronger!," he added.
