Daniel D’Addario of Variety described it as lacking substance and questioned whether it justified its length. He noted that the program seemed to place more emphasis on delivering meaning rather than simply being enjoyable, concluding there was not enough to sustain viewer interest.

Despite these critiques, Netflix confirmed Season 2 just days after the first season’s release, as filming had already been completed.

The series is part of a broader collaboration between Netflix and the couple’s media company, Archewell Productions. On August 11, the venture announced a multi-year extension with the streaming platform, which will cover future film and television projects. The agreement includes the continuation of With Love, Meghan, a holiday special for the series, and a feature film adaptation of the romance novel Meet Me at the Lake.

Meghan expressed enthusiasm about the ongoing partnership, stating that she and her husband are inspired by their creative collaborators and aim to produce content that resonates with audiences worldwide.
