Will Kochi Tuskers get Rs 850 crore compensation?
It is a matter of a few hundred crores, court cases and compensation.

While the IPL’s Governing Council held a meeting recently where they decided to pay the amount, both stakeholders of the team and the BCCI have been unusually somber about it. Among them is a sports company which owned a stake in the team and is set to benefit with other co-owners, once the amount is passed by the general body.
As for the BCCI— the richest cricketing body in the world— they had the option of challenging the settlement in the Supreme Court, but they’ve chosen not to. Sources say, it is hoping to have a discussion to negotiate the amount to be paid. A figure quoted by the board in June was Rs 400 crore. The ball’s in the other court then.
