Why was Uday Kotak missing from this event?

He was listed as one of the tycoons expected to talk about leadership at an event. But it turned out to be the missing case of Uday Kotak. An e-invite had Kotak’s name as the headliner of the forum, along with that Sandeep Agarwal of Shopclues, Nina Lekhi of Baggit and others.

But even as two sessions passed, there was no sign of the banker. Organisers insisted he would turn up, but as the gathering became more restless, a call was made to Kotak’s office to check. Apparently, not only was the Kotak Mahindra executive vice chairman not in town that evening, but his calendar also showed no such commitment. A classic case of event mismanagement? The jury’s still out.
