Why Sachin Tendulkar refused to wear captain's hat at cruise launch

Sachin Tendulkar has worn many hats, the most popular by far being the one of the Indian cricket team captain and batting legend. But there was one hat that Tendulkar was reluctant to wear at a recent event to launch a celebrity cruise — the ship captain's hat. Tendulkar, along with a noticeably fitter celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan's personal DJ Khushi among other names, attended the launch of the celebrity-studded cruise in Mumbai and were presented with the captain's hat, which matched their identical bandhgalas.

However, when the moment came for Tendulkar and the others to slap on the hat, they looked around, noticeably uncomfortable, and decided it looked best in their hands. The reason? Because they were afraid of ruining their gelled-to-perfection hair. While DJ Khushi did eventually get into the spirit of things, Tendulkar and the rest didn't risk the chance of spoiling their styled hairdos. But then, DJ Khushi did have to make up for rushing past everyone, including the CEO of the cruise liner, to greet his cricketing idol.
