My Choice' — a video on women's empowerment starring Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone, has incurred the wrath of many on social media.

Part of a series called Vogue Empower launched in October, the 2:34-minute film by Homi Adajania features a series of shots of 99 women including Padukone, who delivers statements on women's rights. The writer credited is Kersi Khambatta.



Since its release online last week, the video has attracted more than 5.3 million hits on YouTube. However, the clip has generated more negative sentiment, according to Simplify360, a Bengaluru-based social media aggregator that has collected data on reactions to the video.
