Why Modi follows Raveena

Narendra Modi may have over four million Twitter followers, but he chooses to follow only a thousand odd people, one being actress Raveena Tandon.

When asked about her NaMo connection, the ‘Tu cheez badi hai mast’ girl admits to being “clueless” why the next Prime Minister follows her on Twitter.

She does however recall their meeting at a FICCI event in Ahmedabad about five years ago, where both were chief guests. “I had told him back then that he should lead our country.

He said with a straight face, ‘Dekhte hai, aaj kal fashion hai Modi ko criticise karna.’ Tandon made an impression on Modi, nevertheless. She admits that it was only when she found out that Modi was following her that she returned the favour.
