As is tradition, the leadership at IndiGo divided up the nationwide stations among themselves, flying across sectors to spend time with their teams and cut the ceremonial cake. Top boss Aditya Ghosh tweeted images from his 5 am celebrations at the airline's back office at Delhi airport.

Ghosh is no stranger to partying at off hours. After filing the draft prospectus with the regulator, he'd toasted the occasion with an impromptu late night table tennis game with colleagues at Mumbai airport.

As for the anniversary, Ghosh flew from Delhi to Kolkata and then Bagdogra to continue the party. After returning to Delhi at the day's end, one last pit stop was made at Ifly, their learning academy in the capital.
