Why did Bhavish Aggarwal leave out the desserts at the recently-held ET Awards?
A health-conscious Bhavish Aggarwal, along with others from the business and sports worlds, has been steering clear of a food ingredient - sugar.

At the exclusive sit-down dinner hosted post the ET Awards, even the elite company around the table must compete with the delicacies served for attention. So, it didn't go unnoticed when Ola Cabs co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal left his dessert - an Indian mishti sampler, comprising badam halwa, kesari rasmalai infused with saffron and a delicate rose petal gulkand ice cream - untouched.

When asked to sample some, Aggarwal revealed that he has been on a special diet: the no sugar kind. He shared that it's been over four months since he started with this and has lost 11 kilos since.

Clearly, the buzz cut is not the only thing new about the young CEO. A leaner and fitter Aggarwal is just round the corner.

A spoonful of sugar…

Badminton coach Pullela Gopichand revealed in an earlier interview with ETPanache that he is finicky about his food habits. And the one diet rule he is uncompromising about? "No sugar."

On his blog, GOQii founder Vishal Gondal had shared a list of life hacks that could be potentially game changing. One of the items on the list read: "STOP having sugar in your tea, coffee, yogurt etc. Sugar is worse than cocaine (go figure)."

It isn't always easy to follow this rule though, shared Archit Gupta, co-founder, ClearTax, who feels that where it isn't possible to find a complete no-sugar option, a lesser sugar content substitute does the trick.
