Why British PM David Cameron is making headlines
The British prime minister?

Yes.

What about him?

A former confidante and a journalist have come together to publish a book on him called Call me Dave.

A biography of a politician... How boring.

The book delves into the prime minister’s younger days and details some alleged misdemeanours.

Ok...So it’s not a hagiography like the ones they publish in India?

No — it certainly is not flowery prose.

So tell me one incident that could be at the least interesting?

The book quotes a university friend of the prime minister — a current member of parliament…

There you go....This is about some speech he gave way back right?

…stating that Cameron inserted a part of his anatomy inside a dead pig's mouth as part of an initiation ceremony and that he was part of a debauched Oxford society that specialised in sexual excesses and bizarre rituals.

Whaaaaat?

Yes.

That would make it one of the most obscene charges levelled against any prime minister anywhere... Right?

I guess so.

But where is the evidence?

The book quotes an anonymous source who claims to have seen photographic evidence.

What else does it say about Cameron?

It also says that he has hosted cocaine parties at his home and that he had experimented with marijuana.

Who wrote the book?

Former Tory party treasurer Lord Ashcroft and a journalist. Ashcroft allegedly fell out with Cameron after he was denied a position in the former’s cabinet. Downing Street said it would not dignify Call Me Dave with any comment. Unofficially they have dismissed the peer's biography of David Cameron as "nonsense" and "ridiculous". Cameron himself has remained silent on the issue. But privately, he is said to have made a remark on the lines of being stabbed in the back.

That’s one less nostalgic prime minister, I Guess.

Yes..I would think so too.
