Why Barclays bosses are not at work
Some of the corner offices at Barclays are currently empty. A bunch of the bank's top bosses are away in Himachal Pradesh getting their adrenalin fix.

Jaideep Khanna, CEO & country head, Barclays, along with his colleagues, Ashwini Kapila, MD, Barclays Capital and Pushkaraj Gumaste, MD and head of corporate banking, Barclays and many other industry peers and doctors, specialising in sports medicine, are away for a cycling tour.

The tour, that starts this Friday, promises to be no ordinary one. The 17-member team will cycle from Manali to Leh over 10 days, covering 490 kilometres. Seven members of the team, Khanna included, will go for a bout of extreme cycling after reaching Leh. They plan to cycle another 500 kilometres in just four days to reach their final destination, Srinagar.

Cycling seems to be the new running in corporate India.
