Kayadu Lohar, originally from Tezpur, Assam. As per reports, Kayadu Lohar is a B.com graduate. She kickstarted her career with a jewellery pageant contest. Later, she won the Times of India’s Everyuth Fresh Face Season 12. After her modelling days, she began her acting career with the Kannada film Mugilpetet in 2021. Her first Malayalam film was Pathonpatham Noottandu which hit the theatres on 8 September 2022. She also starred in Shree Vishnu’s Alluri. I Prem U marks her Marathi debut.About her work

However, everything changed overnight with the release of Dragon, which catapulted her into the spotlight. Dragon is a Tamil coming-of-age comedy-drama directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and produced by AGS Entertainment. Starring Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead, the film features Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, George Maryan, K. S. Ravikumar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Mysskin. The story follows a young man whose misguided shortcut to success puts his relationships, job, and family at risk.
Following the film’s success, Kayadu has become one of the most in-demand actresses in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Interestingly, during a promotional event for Dragon, lead actor Pradeep Ranganathan came across a meme on Kayadu’s phone predicting that she would be the next big sensation in the film industry. Playfully she responded that if no one else hypes you up, you should do it yourself.
Currently, the actress is gearing up for Idhayam Murali, an upcoming Tamil coming-of-age romantic drama directed and produced by Aakash Baskaran under Dawn Pictures. Starring Atharvaa in the lead, the film features Preity Mukhundhan, Natty Subramaniam, Niharika NM, Thaman S, Rakshan, Pragya Nagra, and Sudhakar. It marks Aakash's directorial debut and Thaman's return to acting after 22 years.

Her Instagram is flooded with appreciation, prompting her to share a heartfelt video thanking fans in Tamil and Telugu. She expressed gratitude for their support, from theatre cheers to social media messages, calling their love priceless. She acknowledged, "I am not a Tamil girl. I cannot speak the language well." However, she promised the fans to repay their admiration through her future films.Speaking about Dragon, it was already a pre-release success due to strong non-theatrical deals, opened to an impressive start, grossing Rs 50.22 crores in its first three days. The movie has now grossed over Rs 100 crore at the box office.
