In her latest YouTube video, Rimi has confirmed that she has found love for the second time in Libin Mathew, a fitness trainer and bodybuilder based in Mumbai. She is now ready to tie the knot with him this month, in November. After the announcement, Rimi has been showered with blessings and good wishes from fans and industry peers. Who is Rimi Tomy

Rimi Tomy is a popular singer as well as a television presenter, actress, and reality show judge. She debuted in the singing world with the song 'Chingamasam Vannuchernnal' featured in the 2002 Malayalam movie Meesa Madhavan. The track, composed by Vidyasagar, also starred Shankar Mahadevan.

Besides playback singing, Rimi has also explored her talent in the acting field. She made her film debut with director Aashiq Abu’s 5 Sundarikal. Rimi got her first break as a lead actress in Thinkal Muthal Velli Vare (2015), where she was cast opposite Jayaram. Apart from that, Rimi has also appeared in song sequences in movies including Balram Vs Tharadas, Kaaryasthan and 916.

Rimi Tomy’s previous marriage

Before Libin Mathew, Rimi Tomy was previously married to businessman Royce Kizhakoodan on April 27, 2008, at Lourde Cathedral in Thrissur. After 11 years of togetherness, they filed for a divorce in 2019. In one of her YouTube videos, Rimi requested people to stop using her former husband’s picture along with her to break her wedding announcement.

Rimi said, ‘I saw a lot of posts with my ex-husband’s picture. Just leave him alone. It was a decision he and I made together. He got a better partner than me, and they are living happily. Why are you adding his picture?’ as quoted by the Times of India.

Speaking about her wedding, Rimi revealed that Libin isn’t someone famous or a millionaire. ‘It’s not about money or fame,’ she noted, adding that she simply wants someone who cares for her and brings her peace. Rimi admitted to having found that person in Libin.

Additionally, Rimi stated she first spoke to Libin over the phone on March 10 and met him a few days later. The singer claimed that she felt an instant connection and decided to get married right away. Rimi shared that the wedding would take place in a small church in Mumbai, in an intimate ceremony, in the presence of close friends and family.
