While the horror-comedy has been in the spotlight ever since its announcement, it wasn’t just the film that became a talking point. One of its actresses, Riddhi Kumar, has suddenly found herself making headlines, with rumours linking her to the Baahubali star.

The speculation began after the pre-release event of The Raja Saab, where Riddhi took the stage to speak about the film and her experience working with Prabhas. Her words, warm and emotional, quickly caught the attention of fans and social media users. Though neither actor has addressed the rumours directly, the moment became one of the most discussed highlights from the event.



According to Deccan Chronicle, during her speech, Riddhi spoke highly of Prabhas, describing him as a supportive and generous co-star. She credited him for giving her an opportunity in the film and expressed deep appreciation for his encouragement throughout the project. What truly sparked curiosity, however, was her mention of a special gift she received from him during the shoot.

Riddhi revealed that Prabhas had gifted her a saree, which she chose to wear at the pre-release event. She shared that she had carefully preserved the saree for nearly three years, waiting for the right moment to wear it. Thanking Prabhas on stage, she said she felt thankful to have him in her life and acknowledged his role in her journey with the film.

For the unversed, Riddhi Kumar is a model-turned-actor who first rose to fame after winning the Face of India pageant. Born in Kopargaon near Shirdi in Maharashtra, she comes from an Army family, with her father serving as an officer in the Indian Army. Her disciplined upbringing played a major role in shaping her early life.

Academically inclined, Riddhi graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Fergusson College in Pune. Before stepping into films, she built a career in modelling, participating in fashion shows and regional beauty contests, which eventually opened doors to the entertainment industry.


Riddhi made her acting debut in 2018 with the Telugu film Lover, starring Raj Tarun. She followed this up with roles in Anaganaga O Premakatha and later expanded her career across industries. In 2019, she entered Malayalam cinema with Pranaya Meenukalude Kadal and made her Marathi debut with Dandam the same year. She was later seen in the Telugu-Hindi film Radhe Shyam alongside Prabhas.

Her career also spans the digital space, with appearances in web series such as Candy, Human, and the popular student drama Crash Course.

Meanwhile, The Raja Saab features a star-studded cast including Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, and Zarina Wahab. Directed as a horror-comedy, the film boasts music by Thaman S. Now, the movie is gearing up for festive release around Sankranti.
