American singer and actor Mary Millben has found herself at the centre of an online exchange with Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke over allegations of foreign funding. The two exchanged remarks on X (formerly Twwiter) on October 14, 2026, after Millben claimed that the outfit's founder, Abhijeet Dipke was receiving financial support from donors in the United States.

The exchange took place amid protests demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Millben said, "Do not fear, my young patriots. Your Prime Minister, who has served India for 25 years, 12 years as Prime Minister, elected three consecutive terms, is not going to bow to disruptive forces from my country."

Mary Millben alleges US donors are funding CJP

In her post on X, Millben alleged, "@abhijeet_dipke and the @Cockroachisback are being funded by donors in the U.S. who are against Prime Minister @NarendraModi and your future under his leadership."

She suggested that such efforts were intended to disrupt governance and development, while urging young Indians to respond peacefully.

Millben also expressed confidence in Modi's leadership, arguing that the Prime Minister would not give in to what she described as disruptive forces from the United States. She referred to his years in public life and his tenure as Prime Minister while encouraging young Indians not to be intimidated.

Her comments drew a response from Dipke, who questioned, "Who gave foreign nationals the right to interfere in India’s internal affairs? We are more than capable of dealing with our own issues. We don’t need outsiders interfering in our country’s affairs."

Millben subsequently defended the Prime Minister, saying he did not need support from the United States because he had backing from Indian citizens. She also expressed confidence that Modi would continue to receive public support in the 2029 general election.

Taking another swipe at Dipke, the singer suggested that his alleged American donors would abandon him if his efforts failed. She urged him to put his education and abilities to constructive use and suggested that he engage with Modi to contribute positively to the country.

Neither the allegations of foreign funding nor the claims exchanged during the online argument were independently established in the material available.
