Complicated family story of Alix Earle

Family plays a major role in Earle Meets World. Earle and her younger sister Ashtin are the daughters of TJ Earle and Alisa Maniaci. Her parents divorced in 2008 after her father had an affair with Ashley Dupré, who became widely known through the Eliot Spitzer prostitution scandal. TJ later married Dupré in 2013, and they have three children together. Despite that painful history, the blended family has developed an unusually close relationship. One of the show's biggest revelations concerns Earle's deteriorated relationship with Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper. Earle's Hot Mess podcast had been part of Cooper's Unwell Network before the partnership ended in 2025. In the Netflix finale, Earle alleges she felt unsupported and manipulated during their professional relationship and says she was “scared of” and intimidated by Cooper.

She also alleges that uncomfortable portions of a Call Her Daddy appearance were not removed despite her concerns. People and EW said they contacted Cooper's representatives for comment.
