After a gap of two years, Jr. NTR is back on the silver screen! His latest movie, ‘Devara’, hit the theatres on Monday. The fans are busy gushing over the jaw-dropping action sequences and the actor’s top-notch performance in a dual role. Recently, in a chat with ‘Animal’ director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the ‘RRR’ star revealed that he had shot extensive underwater sequences for the action extravaganza.

The actor told Vanga that the underwater scenes were shot over the course of 30-35 days. He talked about how the makers constructed a gigantic pool set where they shot the scenes. The actor mentioned that water plays a significant role throughout the film, and they utilized a large-scale setup to recreate the authenticity of a coastal environment. The movie is generating major excitement and has already surpassed $1 million in pre-sales and ticket bookings in the USA.

About ‘Devara’

Directed by acclaimed Telugu filmmaker Koratala Siva, Devara marks Tollywood star Jr. NTR's first solo release in six years. It also serves as the Tollywood debut for Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of the legendary actress Sridevi. Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan takes on the role of the main villain. The film tells the story of Devara, the leader of Yerra Samudram, a union of four villages located on a hill near Ratnagiri.


In addition to Jr. NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan, the cast includes renowned actors such as Prakash Raj, Srikanth Meka, Shruti Marate, Shine Tom Chacko, Murali Sharma, Narain, Kalaiyarasan, Chaithra Rai, and Abhimanyu Singh.

The movie has reportedly been made on a budget of Rs 200-300 crore, thereby making it one of the most expensive Telugu films ever made.
