Cricket fever is unmatched in this part of the subcontinent, and nowhere is it more evident than when bosses ensure that their employees do not miss out on the ongoing World Cup. Screenings were organised, food was served, and a party atmosphere prevailed when India faced off against Australia in a doomed semi-final. At the RPG Enterprises headquarters in Mumbai, employees decided to multi-task, bringing their laptops to the screening, holding small meetings as they kept track of the scores. All while they gorged on poha, vadas and bhel. Meanwhile, Snapdeal organised multiple screenings across its seven offices in Delhi as employees ate burgers and gulab jamuns (made by one of the employees), specially for the occasion. And then there was much usage of the whistles, which were distributed, of course.
