When we hired Ananth Narayanan as Myntra’s CEO, I stepped out immediately: Mukesh Bansal
In conversation with ET Panache, co-founder and former CEO of Myntra, Mukesh Bansal reveals the extent an exiting CEO should exercise his decision-making powers.

Talking about his move, he said,“Once you make up your mind, you should delegate all decision-making to a team that will continue to run the company. For example, when we hired Ananth Narayanan as Myntra’s CEO, I stepped out immediately. I shared my opinions liberally. But I stopped all one-to-one calls with the internal people. I have a great relationship with the company but I wanted to create the space for Ananth. People should reach out to him for problem solving henceforth. Avoid making last-minute decisions. Avoid building strategies because that is long-term. Don’t make any significant hiring changes. These could have sweeping consequences.”.
