During a segment at the recently-held Indian Retail Forum in Mumbai, the CFO of a well-known fast food chain and the moderator of his panel, an MD of an advisory company, had an interesting exchange.

A statement made by the moderator became too much to chew for the fast food boss, who was ready to show some bite in reply. Of course, things did settle down, following what seemed like an off the-mike rapprochement.

The fast food top exec then spoke at length about his brand’s endeavours to create a niche and replicate its international success in India. The session wrapped up well, but for that one intense moment which felt like an overheated kitchen.
