Yahoo might be going through troubled times, but founder Jerry Yang still enjoys the same popularity that he always did in the startup community. Snapdeal founders Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal recently met Yang. Bahl tweeted a picture on Monday with the caption, “So inspiring to spend time with internet’s original poster boy, Jerry Yang”.



Even as Snapdeal continues to race to the top spot in the country’s e-commerce business, Yang’s Yahoo is in hot water. Recent reports suggest that bids for Yahoo’s Internet business are between $2-3 billion — an all-time low. Yang was offered $45 billion for the company in 2008 by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. Now, that’s a deal Yang should’ve snapped up.
