When Saina Nehwal spread the virtues of boxing
Badminton ace Saina Nehwal was in Mumbai recently to attend a children’s sporting event. She packed quite a punch as she rooted for another sport— telling the kids about the virtues of boxing. “She (Saina) watched a boxing match and told the players that boxing is the best game that prepares a sports person for the fight they have to put in every time they play,” the coach of a participating school said.

The organisers and participants were thrilled when Nehwal posed for pictures with the children and stayed back to watch some more matches as well. Nehwal left the kids with some knockout wisdom — “I want girls and boys to both put in their best efforts. The more you get injured, the more you need to hit back, fight and come back at your best,” she said.
