When Rajiv Bajaj 'failed' all shooting tests at Abhinav Bindra's home!

At an event in Mumbai on Tuesday, Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto shared anecdotes of his friendship with Olympic gold medallist, Abhinav Bindra, who was the chief guest at the event.

“In April this year, I spent time at Abhinav’s Chandigarh home where I interacted with his parents, who are very hospitable. While I was there, I even tried my hand at shooting,” Bajaj said. The industrialist, however joked that his target skills were quite poor. “I shot at everything, except the target,” he said with a laugh. Praising Bindra’s shooting range, been set up at the Olympian’s home, Bajaj said, “I was also the first person to try my hand at Abhinav’s state-of-the-art, high-performance centre in Chandigarh”. Recalling his time there, Bajaj said that Bindra himself helped and guided him.

“I was amazed at his precision and split second finesse with the gun as he shoots. However, I failed all the tests miserably since I have a poor sense of balance and precision. But it was a great experience,” Bajaj said.
