When Navi Mumbai's soccer enthusiasts got some Spanish flavour
There was some Spanish flavour at the DY Patil stadium recently when retired international stars played an Indian team in an exhibition five-a-side match.

“Concentracion!” the visiting team’s manager said from the sidelines, in mock seriousness, as the players limbered up.

Another reason for the Spanish touch was the presence of Fernando Morientes, a star forward of the early 2000s.

Morientes scored several goals for the Spanish national team and Real Madrid, among other teams.

“Vamos Morientes!” some fans high up in the seats shouted.

The 41-year-old couldn’t find the net even once in the first half. But he obliged with cuatro goles (four goals) in the second.
