When Mercedes-Benz India head Roland Folger's gesture left Steven Spielberg in tears

While it is James Bond's style that he admires, when it comes to his favourite celebrity, Roland Folger is all praises for Steven Spielberg. And they have a car-nection. Speaking to ETPanache, the Mercedes-Benz India head said that he met Spielberg while he was filming the second Jurassic Park movie. The carmaker had collaborated with the film's production company for the iconic safari car used in the movie.

"The movie used the M-Class, which wasn't even launched then. It worked wonders for us. So, as a token of thanks, we took Spielberg's old 380 SL model, which used to belong to his grandfather and rebuilt it in our classic centre," Folger said.

The gesture, Folger added, left Spielberg in tears. "When he took the car, he told me that he 'felt like a six-year-old boy again'".
