When Liverpool star Mohamed Salah vanished from social media

The Egyptian striker posted a cryptic tweet before logging off.

Fans and followers of Liverpool’s star Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah were left wondering when he suddenly vanished from the cyberspace, deleting all of his social media accounts.

The Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts of Salah went offline without warning last week, a day after he posted a cryptic tweet.

“2019 Resolution: Time to get in touch, for real,” said the final tweet, screenshots of which were shared widely on social media.

Theories soon began to appear to suggest this was a stunt from the Premier League’s top goal scorer as part of an upcoming campaign to help people get back in touch with those close to them in real life rather than on social media. Others suggested it was so he could focus on his football.
