Dull moments are rare when the brothers Singh - marathon promoters Vivek and Anil- are around. Recently, Vivek spoke about the quirks of organising the Kolkata marathon, their youngest baby. "People would call the helpline number and say, 'Ok, we are interested. But how will you pay us Rs 300? Cash, cheque, digital?"

Entrants had to pay the amount to register for the marathon. But Kolkata residents, who have their own view of the world, thought they will receive money for participating.
